Dr. Gary White, OD, Orthokeratologist

Dr. Gary White graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1991.  He spent his first 3 years practicing optometry and teaching at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.  He was an adjunct professor for the University of Houston College of Optometry during those 3 years.

Dr. White then was in private practice until 2008.  During that time he developed a passion for Corneal Correction Therapy, CCT.  He started treating patients with CCT in 1998.  Since then he has served on the board for the Orthokeratology Academy of America for 2 years, and has become known as one of the top specialists in CCT throughout the country.  From 2008 to present, Dr. White has worked as an independent doctor of optometry training other doctors how to add CCT to their practices.  He has been a fellow of the Orthokeratology Academy of America, and lectured across the country on the CCT process.

In 2006 Dr. White founded the first and only CCT practice in the country.  He became known world wide for this successful CCT practice treating thousands of CCT patients successfully correcting their vision so they would not need to wear glasses or contact lenses during the day.  Dr. White has become one of the top specialists in the world using the CCT process to restore vision to 20/20 without glasses or contact lenses during the day.  Dr. White moved to Columbia, SC with his wife and two young children at the end of July, 2014.  He and his family love South Carolina, and they plan to make this their home.  Dr. White is excited to bring his skills and talents here to help the people of Columbia become free form their glasses and contact lenses without surgery.  Dr. Gary White loves to see the smile on patients’ faces when they can see clearly without glasses or contact lenses for the first time in many years.
